I’m usually thinking what you’re thinking, Pinky, and when I’m not I could be ordering a double tall toffee nut latte, hiking a state park trail or reading tech articles or a novel.

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA but grew up primarily in the South. And so, I have a fondness for Vidalia onions, boiled peanuts, and a tendency to say “Ma’am” and “Sir.”

After moving to Seattle in 1996, I took the obligatory contract job at Microsoft and left when the division was restructured. Next I moved on to Paul Allen and Starwave Inc. as Production Artist for ESPN.com. While Paul moved on in 1998, I stayed with ESPN as it rotated through parent companies Disney, Infoseek, Go.com, Disney (again), and finally Walt Disney Internet Group. Through the years I worked on projects for Nascar.com (Sunday races), NBA.com (late-night finals), and NFL.com (animated football plays). In 2000 I moved into an Associate Designer position and also worked on EXPN.com (Tony Hawk, the birdman, in person) and the then new espnDeportes (using the google translator!) Late 2001 I left ESPN behind and became webmaster and later still Digital Media Manager/Lead Designer for Screenplay Inc. 2003 found me on board with LOUD Technologies Inc. as Web Designer and where I’m presently Web Services/ Electronic Marketing Manager for LOUDtechinc.com and its four brand sites.

I’m a fan of quirky writing, well-made gadgets, funky magazines, and vegetarian sushi… for a more complete list consult ephemera located in the navigation column. It has a rotating top 10 list of Stuff I think qualifies as Neat.

Frequently I’m asked where did you hear/read that or where my train of thought began. So this blog serves as an attempt to track my interests, ideas, rants, and other bits of my life. I hope to have my own personal barista some day but for now this is it.
